    Terms of Service

    These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of Verifact, a claim and evidence review product operated by PennyFloat.

    Verifact is built around a simple standard: The red. The blue. The truth. Users are responsible for using the service honestly, lawfully, and respectfully.

    Acceptable Use

    You may use Verifact only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not harm other users, PennyFloat, platform providers, or the integrity of the service.

    You are responsible for the information you submit and for making sure you have the rights, permissions, and context needed to share it.

    User-Generated Content

    Claims, evidence, images, comments, reports, votes, and other submissions are user-generated content. You retain ownership of content you submit, subject to the license you grant PennyFloat to operate Verifact.

    By submitting content, you grant PennyFloat a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, analyze, moderate, adapt for formatting, and distribute that content as needed to provide, protect, and improve Verifact.

    Misinformation and Accuracy Disclaimer

    Verifact provides tools for reviewing claims and evidence, but it does not guarantee factual accuracy, completeness, neutrality, or timeliness of any claim, evidence item, rating, analysis, moderation outcome, or user submission.

    Content on Verifact may include disputed, incomplete, outdated, misleading, or incorrect information. You should independently verify important information before relying on it.

    AI-Assisted Analysis Disclaimer

    Verifact may use AI-assisted systems to organize, classify, summarize, or analyze submissions. AI-assisted analysis can be wrong, incomplete, biased, or misapplied.

    AI-assisted outputs are informational only and do not provide legal, medical, financial, election, safety, or other professional advice.

    Prohibited Behavior

    • Harassment, threats, bullying, doxxing, exploitation, or abuse of other people.
    • Hate speech, explicit content, illegal content, or content that promotes violence or self-harm.
    • Spam, scams, manipulation, coordinated inauthentic behavior, or deceptive engagement.
    • Impersonation of people, organizations, public officials, platforms, or PennyFloat staff.
    • Uploading content you do not have the right to share or content that violates privacy or intellectual property rights.
    • Attempts to bypass moderation, security, access controls, rate limits, or platform restrictions.

    Platform Abuse, Scraping, and API Abuse

    You may not scrape, crawl, bulk download, reverse engineer, overload, probe, resell, or misuse Verifact or its APIs without written permission from PennyFloat.

    Automated access, credential stuffing, fake accounts, rate-limit evasion, data harvesting, and attempts to interfere with service operations are prohibited.

    Moderation Rights and Account Suspension

    PennyFloat may review, label, limit, remove, or preserve content, and may suspend or terminate accounts, when we believe it is necessary to enforce these Terms, protect users, comply with law, investigate abuse, or maintain service integrity.

    Moderation decisions may rely on automated systems, human review, user reports, trusted signals, platform requirements, and operational judgment.

    Intellectual Property

    Verifact, PennyFloat, product names, logos, interfaces, software, workflows, analysis systems, and original content are owned by PennyFloat or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws.

    These Terms do not grant you ownership of Verifact, PennyFloat trademarks, code, designs, datasets, models, or service infrastructure.

    Third-Party Services and Platforms

    Verifact may integrate with or rely on third-party services such as Supabase, Render, Expo, Apple, Google, analytics providers, storage providers, and security vendors. Their own terms and policies may apply to their services.

    Liability Limitation

    To the fullest extent permitted by law, PennyFloat is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, service interruption, reputational harm, or reliance on user-generated or AI-assisted content.

    Verifact is provided as available and without warranties of any kind, except where warranties cannot be excluded under applicable law.

    Changes and Contact

    We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of Verifact after updates means you accept the updated Terms.
