Verifact
Privacy Policy
Effective date: June 10, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how PennyFloat collects, uses, stores, and protects information in Verifact, a claim and evidence review product operated by PennyFloat.
Verifact does not sell personal data. We use information to provide the service, protect users, moderate content, improve reliability, and comply with legal obligations.
Information We Collect
We may collect account information such as your email address, display name, authentication identifiers, settings, support messages, and account status.
When you submit claims, evidence, reports, comments, or feedback, we collect the content you provide, related timestamps, and technical metadata needed to operate the service.
- Email addresses and account identifiers used for login, support, account recovery, and service notices.
- Uploaded images, image metadata, and related storage records used for evidence review and moderation.
- Claim, evidence, vote, report, and moderation submissions created inside Verifact.
- Device, browser, app version, IP-derived network data, logs, and diagnostic events needed for security and reliability.
How We Use Information
We use collected information to create and manage accounts, display submitted content, process claim and evidence workflows, detect abuse, provide support, improve performance, and keep Verifact safe.
We may use aggregate or de-identified data to understand product usage, improve moderation quality, and prioritize reliability work.
Uploaded Images and Evidence
Images and evidence files that users upload may be stored in image storage connected to the service. These files may be reviewed by automated systems, moderators, or administrators when needed for safety, abuse prevention, policy enforcement, or support.
Do not upload private, sensitive, or confidential information unless you have the right to share it and want it reviewed in connection with the claim or evidence workflow.
Analytics, Cookies, and Local Storage
Verifact may use analytics and diagnostic tools to understand usage, detect errors, measure performance, and improve the product. Analytics may include page views, feature events, app version, device information, and approximate region.
We may use cookies, local storage, secure tokens, or similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember settings, protect sessions, reduce spam, and measure service performance.
Advertising: Verifact may display third-party advertisements within the app. These ads are not targeted based on personal profiling or the sale of user data. Ad networks used by Verifact may collect standard technical information such as device type and general location for ad delivery purposes.
Moderation, Reports, and Safety Systems
Verifact uses moderation and report systems to review content, enforce policies, investigate abuse, and respond to illegal or harmful activity. Reports may include the reported content, reporter information, reason codes, timestamps, and moderator actions.
Content may be limited, hidden, removed, or escalated when it appears to violate Verifact rules, applicable law, platform requirements, or service integrity protections.
AI-Assisted Analysis
Verifact may use AI-assisted analysis to help organize, classify, summarize, or evaluate claims and evidence. AI-assisted outputs can be incomplete or incorrect and may be reviewed with human judgment or additional signals.
AI-assisted analysis is not a guarantee that a claim is true or false, and it should not be treated as legal, medical, financial, election, or professional advice.
Third-Party Services
Verifact may rely on third-party service providers to operate securely and reliably. These providers process data only as needed to provide hosting, authentication, storage, analytics, delivery, security, support, or platform services.
- Supabase may be used for authentication, database services, storage, and related backend infrastructure.
- Render may be used to host application services and infrastructure.
- Expo, Apple, and Google delivery services may process app delivery, device, crash, installation, or platform metadata according to their own policies.
- Image storage providers may store uploaded evidence images and related metadata.
- Analytics, logging, email, and security vendors may process limited service data for operational purposes.
Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell personal data. We may share information with service providers, platform providers, professional advisors, law enforcement or regulators when legally required, or a successor entity if PennyFloat is involved in a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or asset transfer.
Public claims, evidence, comments, usernames, or other user-generated content may be visible to other users depending on product settings and moderation state.
Security and Retention
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information, including access controls, HTTPS, service monitoring, and abuse prevention. No system can be guaranteed to be perfectly secure.
We retain information for as long as needed to provide Verifact, comply with law, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, prevent abuse, and maintain security. Some data may remain in backups or logs for a limited period.
Your Choices and Account Deletion
You may request account deletion, access, correction, or other privacy assistance by contacting support@pennyfloat.com from the email address associated with your account.
Deletion may remove or de-identify account information, but some records may be retained when necessary for safety, legal compliance, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or platform integrity.
Children
Verifact is not intended for children under 13. If we learn that we collected personal information from a child under 13 without appropriate consent, we will take steps to delete it.
